At SimsForHire, a racing simulator rental costs $2,750 per full-motion rig per day (every rig we rent is full-motion), with a $2,000 event minimum, all plus tax and insurance. Volume discounts of 5% to 25% apply from two rigs up, and delivery is free within 50 miles of Miami. Below is how the number is built, with worked examples.

Tax and insurance

Tax and insurance are billed on top of the rental. For sales tax, Florida's general state rate is 6%, according to the Florida Department of Revenue, and most counties add a discretionary surtax. For 2026, the state's Office of Economic and Demographic Research lists a 1% county surtax in Miami-Dade and in Broward, and 0.5% in Palm Beach County. Your quote shows the tax that applies to your event.

Insurance is billed, never included. SimsForHire is fully insured in the United States, and we can send your venue a certificate of insurance on request.

What moves the final number

Is renting the right call?

For a one-off party or event, renting is usually simpler: the rigs arrive, someone runs them, and they leave. If you would use a simulator many times a year, it is worth comparing with buying or leasing. See buy, lease and our rent vs. buy guide.

For companies, note that the tax treatment of entertainment is narrow. IRS Publication 463 says entertainment expenses are generally nondeductible, with exceptions that include recreational expenses for employees such as a holiday party. Ask your accountant how your event is treated.
