A racing simulator bachelor party works because it is head-to-head, everyone can take part, and it comes to you — a rented house, a hotel suite, a private room. To plan it: count your guests, pick the number of rigs, choose a format (time trial, bracket, final), run the racing before the drinking starts, and book early for peak weekends. Below are real numbers so you can budget.
1. Rigs and budget
Prices are per rig, per day, plus tax and insurance, with a $2,000 event minimum:
| Setup | Math | Rig total |
|---|---|---|
| 1 full-motion rig | $2,750, above the event minimum | $2,750 |
| 2 full-motion rigs | $5,500 less 5% (2–3 rigs) | $5,225 |
All plus tax and insurance. Two rigs side by side let the groom race his friends wheel to wheel, which is most of the fun. Delivery is free within 50 miles of Miami; farther out, we quote it. Custom branding (a “last lap” livery, say) starts at $500, plus tax and insurance.
2. Pick a format
- Time trial: everyone gets runs on the same car and track; the fastest lap wins.
- Bracket: seed by lap time, then race head-to-head to a final.
- Groom handicap: the groom gets a time bonus, or has to beat the best man to keep it.
3. Race first, drink later
This is the one piece of science worth knowing. In a placebo-controlled study, Garrisson and colleagues (2022) found that at a mean blood alcohol concentration of 0.07%, simulated driving and psychomotor function were significantly impaired — yet drivers’ confidence in their own driving did not change. In other words, after a few drinks your lap times get worse and you will not notice. Run the championship before the bar crawl, and the result will be fair.
4. Look after anyone who feels queasy
Some people feel unwell in simulators. A study of a motion-based simulator (Rzeźniczek et al., 2020) measured symptoms such as nausea and disorientation after exposure, and cites estimates that simulator sickness affects 35% to 75% of driving-simulator participants depending on the technology. If someone feels off, they should stop. Anyone who would rather not ride can keep score on the leaderboard instead.
5. Logistics
- Space and power: ask us for the footprint and power needs of the rigs you book, and check you can get them into the room.
- Venue permission: hotels and rentals often ask vendors for a certificate of insurance; we are fully insured in the United States and provide certificates on request.
- Timing: we can book with as little as 24 hours of lead time, but booking earlier gives you more choice of date.
What we handle
We deliver, set up, staff and tear down. Our fleet is 10 full-motion rigs. The full-motion rigs use SIGMA Integrale 2DOF/3DOF motion platforms, which are driven by electric actuators. See private parties and pricing, or browse venues and hotels if you still need a location. We also sell and lease simulators for homes and businesses. Our showroom and demo space is at 2920 NW 5th Ave, Suite 105, Miami, an address we share with Shift Arcade Miami.
