You can hold a racing simulator event in Coconut Grove at a bayfront estate, a restaurant or office, or a private home, and delivery is free because the Grove is well inside our 50-mile radius from Miami. The details that decide whether it works are venue rules (some historic venues only allow approved vendors), loading and parking in a busy village center, and a weather plan for anything on the water.

Why the Grove

The Coconut Grove Business Improvement District describes the Grove as Miami’s oldest neighborhood, shaped by its original Bahamian settlers and decades of artists, with a shoreline on Biscayne Bay (Coconut Grove BID). That mix of history, waterfront and walkable streets is what makes it appealing for private parties and client events.

Venue rules: a Vizcaya example

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, the former James Deering estate on Biscayne Bay in Coconut Grove (Wikipedia), is a good example of how historic venues work. Its corporate events page says clients may only use caterers, planners and vendors from its Approved Vendor List; vendors may start unloading at 3:00 p.m. on the East Terraces, with earlier load-in at extra cost; evening rentals run 6:30 to 11 p.m.; and a tent on the East Terrace is required for events of more than 90 guests. Before you plan simulators at any historic or museum venue, confirm whether outside vendors are allowed and when load-in can start.

Parking and loading

The Grove’s center is compact, and the BID lists public garages and lots such as the Commodore Lot (3121 Commodore Plaza, 220 spaces) and two CocoWalk garages (Coconut Grove BID). Tell us the loading access at your venue — dock, curb or garage — so we can plan the delivery window.

Plan around big local weekends

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival takes over Presidents Day Weekend each year; the 63rd edition is February 13–15, 2027. If your date overlaps a major festival, allow extra time for access and parking.

Waterfront and outdoor events

For bayfront lawns and terraces, follow the National Weather Service: tents and picnic shelters are not safe in lightning, and you should wait 30 minutes after the last thunder before resuming (NWS). Keep rigs under cover and have an indoor fallback. Our outdoor planning guide covers heat, power and rain plans.
