Doral works well for corporate racing simulator events: company offices and warehouses have the floor space, and resort ballrooms handle larger groups. Before you book, check three things — whether your event needs a City of Doral special-event permit, what your venue requires from outside vendors, and how many rigs your headcount needs. Doral is inside our free-delivery radius of 50 miles from Miami.
Where Doral events happen
Doral sits west of Miami International Airport, and many of its businesses, especially importers and exporters, are there because of that proximity (Wikipedia). For larger gatherings, Trump National Doral Miami advertises more than 100,000 square feet of meeting space across 35 function spaces, including ballrooms, boardrooms and outdoor event venues (Trump National Doral). For smaller groups, an office, showroom or warehouse with a clear floor and ground-level loading is often the easiest option. Browse hotels and event venues, or see our Doral page.
Do you need a permit?
The City of Doral requires special-event permits for activities such as concerts, festivals, shows and exhibitions in city venues. Points that matter for a corporate event:
- A minor, self-contained outdoor activity on private property with total attendance under 100, limited impact on traffic, parking and noise, and within the facility’s capacity is treated differently from a full special event — but the sponsor must still submit the event details to Planning and Zoning at least 30 days in advance.
- Applications filed more than 60 but less than 90 days before the event carry an extra $200 charge, and the charges rise the later you file.
- Events expecting 400 or more attendees need City Council approval.
- Applicants must provide a certificate of insurance naming the city as an additional insured.
If your event is indoors at a hotel or office, ask the venue and the city whether a permit applies. SimsForHire is fully insured in the United States, and we provide certificates of insurance on request for venues and permit files.
Formats that work for corporate groups
- Department vs department: teams post their best laps; the best team average wins.
- Qualifying plus final: everyone sets a time during the event; the fastest drivers race head-to-head at the end.
- Client hospitality: branded rigs and a prize for the fastest guest. Custom branding starts at $500, plus tax and insurance.
Budgeting example
Four full-motion rigs for one day: 4 × $2,750 = $11,000, less the 10% volume discount for 4–5 rigs = $9,900, with staffing included, plus tax and insurance. For six full-motion rigs: $16,500 less 15% = $14,025, plus $1,500 staffing for the 5th through 7th rigs = $15,525, plus tax and insurance. Use the pricing page to try other mixes.
