South Florida's car culture runs on monthly meets, a Formula 1 race and a speedway in Homestead, and sim racing has grown up alongside it as the version of the hobby you can do any night of the week. Modern simulators let enthusiasts drive laser-scanned copies of real circuits, and since 2020 even Formula 1 has run official virtual races with its own drivers.
Where the scene gathers
- Supercar Saturdays Florida: a free, monthly meet on the second Saturday at the Shops at Pembroke Gardens, presented by Lamborghini Broward, Bugatti Broward, Koenigsegg Florida and Exotics on Las Olas.
- Cars & Coffee Palm Beach: one Sunday a month at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, with hundreds of show vehicles.
- Homestead–Miami Speedway: the oval south of Miami has hosted NASCAR and IndyCar.
- The Miami Grand Prix: Miami International Autodrome hosts its sixth Formula 1 race on April 30 to May 2, 2027, and the event has sold out each of its first five editions.
Dates and locations of community meets change, so check with each organizer before you go.
How sim racing got serious
Two things make today's sim racing more than a video game. The first is accuracy: tracks are now laser-scanned, and iRacing says its scans capture the cracks, camber and undulations of the real surface, so braking points and bumps match the circuit. The second is legitimacy. When the 2020 season was postponed, Formula 1 launched a Virtual Grand Prix series with current F1 drivers on the grid.
For a car enthusiast, a good simulator answers a simple question: what would this car feel like on that track? Direct-drive wheels, load-cell brakes and motion platforms are how a rig makes that answer convincing.
Where SimsForHire fits
SimsForHire was founded in Miami in 2025 to bring racing simulators to events. Our car-culture work includes Vossen at the DRT Show, an Art Basel 2025 activation with Vossen × OFFSPEC, Red Bull × OffSpec Miami, RMC Miami, private dealership events, and a Hard Rock Miami activation at Miami International Autodrome with eight rigs (six full-motion and two non-motion) for 1,000+ guests in one day.
Bringing simulators to a car meet
- Put the rigs under shade near the show cars, with a leaderboard screen people can see from the lot.
- Run a hot-lap challenge with a prize from the host club or sponsor.
- Add custom branding (from $500, plus tax and insurance) for the club or presenting dealer.
Full-motion rigs are $2,750 per rig, per day, with a $2,000 event minimum, all plus tax and insurance. Delivery is free within 50 miles of Miami; farther than that, we quote the delivery fee on request. See also car clubs and brand activations.
