You can host a private racing simulator event in Coral Gables at a home, a country club or a hotel; SimsForHire delivers the rigs, sets them up, staffs every session and tears down. Coral Gables City Hall is about 8 miles by road from our Miami showroom, inside our free 50-mile delivery zone. If your event is open to the public or uses city property, you need a city permit, filed at least four weeks ahead.
Do you need a city permit?
The City of Coral Gables requires a Special Events Permit when an event is open to the general public, takes place at a city facility, on public property or in the right of way, needs city services, or closes or changes traffic on a street. The application is due at least four weeks before the event and must include a site plan and a certificate of insurance. We are fully insured in the United States and provide certificates on request.
A private party inside your home usually falls outside those categories, but HOA and club rules still apply. Ask them before you book.
Settings that work
- Homes and estates: a garage, covered patio or large living room. A rig needs a level surface, a clear path from the driveway and nearby power.
- Coral Gables Golf and Country Club: built in 1922 by city founder George Merrick and the city's first public building, with ballroom and garden spaces for larger parties.
- Hotels: ballrooms and meeting rooms for family celebrations or a company holiday party.
Popular private formats
- Birthdays: a bracket with a trophy for the guest of honor. See our birthday party guide.
- Graduations and family reunions: a leaderboard that runs all evening.
- Charity nights: entry by donation, prize for the fastest lap.
- Holiday parties: a relay with teams by family or department.
What it costs
Full-motion rigs are $2,750 per rig, per day, with a $2,000 event minimum, all plus tax and insurance. One full-motion rig is $2,750, already above the minimum. Two full-motion rigs: $5,500 less 5%, so $5,225. All plus tax and insurance, with staffing included for up to four rigs.
